A green oasis in a built-up area

Manor Fields Logo

Welcome…

The Manor Fields Association is a charity based in the Brampton and Ashgate area of Chesterfield.

We maintain some ex-school playing fields for the benefit of local residents, providing facilities for leisure and recreation.

Our main aims are:

To maintain and enhance the environment of the fields in a conservation-friendly way by improving bio-diversity

To provide a venue for junior sport, dog walking and general recreation for all.

If you fancy stopping by to enjoy the fields here are a few helpful directions and an interactive map (the future is here!)

Coming from Chesterfield either on Ashgate Road or Chatsworth Road. Follow Ashgate Road for approximately 1 mile then turn left onto Ashgate Avenue and take the first right hand turn to the fields. Alternatively, follow Chatsworth Road for 0.5 miles and turn right onto Old Road, after travelling for another 0.5 miles turn right again on to Ashgate Avenue and take your first left to the fields.

Membership

We can only continue our work with the help of our members so why not join us?

It is free to join us as a member and you’ll be able to have your say in how the fields are used and run.

You will receive a newsletter through your door once or twice a year and will be invited to join us at our AGM.

You can now choose to sign up to our electronic newsletter (2-4 times a year) which will keep you abreast of all the goings on in the fields as well as future events and dates for your diary.

If this sounds like your cup of tea then please fill in the form and we’ll add you to our list of members.

If you want a more active role in the charity you can put your name forward to become a Manor Fields Association Committee Member. This will involve helping out with the day to day running of the fields and attending a Committee meeting every two months.

News

Change of Charitable Status - November 2016

As you may know for the last year we have been in the process of changing our charitable status from Charitable Trust to Charitable Incorporated Organisation or CIO. Although this won’t affect the day to day running of the committee or the fields it now protects the committee members personally from and unforeseen liability. Which is a relief to us and hopefully any future committee members. Due to this change we need our members to resign up as members to the new charity. If you could please take the time to fill in the form below to continue to support us.

Dog Event - 4th October 2016

We have had another incredibly successful year with our dog event as part of the Chatsworth Road festival. This has brought many more people to the fields raising awareness and hopefully meaning more people will come and enjoy our fields. We managed to raise a fantastic £520! We would like to thank everybody for coming and also a special thank you to committee member Brendon for organising it and all the volunteers that made the day possible and such a success!
